Signed lower right AT 20th century period Dimensions: H: 107; W: 99 cm Auguste Trémont, born in 1892 in Luxembourg, is a painter and sculptor trained at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. A great lover of the Jardin des Plantes and more particularly of his menagerie, he is passionate about animal sculpture in which he will become a specialist. His most famous sculpture is his pair of lion adorning the entrance of the Luxembourg City Hall.
