On December 10, 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Today, 75 years later, there is little reason to celebrate given the global human rights situation.

ACAT Luxembourg (Action des Chrétiens pour l'Abolition de la Torture) has been committed to human rights since 1985,

in particular for the abolition of torture and the death penalty (article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights).

Since 2021, ACAT has also been more active in human rights education for the younger generation with Young ACAT - Stand up for Human Rights.

ACAT Luxembourg is taking advantage of the 75th anniversary of the UDHR to promote sustainable respect for human rights

through numerous activities and long-term projects, and to intensify its commitment to the victims of human rights violations.

We are proud to be able to offer such a wide range of high-quality works for auction. Our thanks go first and foremost to the artists

artists and donors who have offered works for auction and generously shared the proceeds with us,

their support for the cause of human rights.
