Succession Luxembourgeoise Collection Simon Fine Art Auction

Itis with great pleasure that we meet you again for this new year 2023, with a beautiful Luxembourg auction.

The story of a passion dispersing an important collection of more than 150 pieces of the production of the Villeroy & Boch faience factory in Septfontaines, which were gathered during a period of about ten years by the couple Édouard and Catherine Simon-Schmit.

Paintings with beautiful Luxembourg signatures such as Jean-Pierre Calteux, Roger Gerson, Mars Schmit, Lily Unden, Moritz Ney, Jean-Pierre Thilmany, Roger Steffen, and Alo Bové.

Famous manufactures from the surrounding regions will also be presented with beautiful vases from the Val Saint Lambert crystal works, as well as charming sculptures by Lalique and Daum.

We will have the honor to present you an exceptional piece coming straight from the United States, it is the very first cash register National Cash Register Co..Dayton, Ohio, U.S.A acquired on April 03, 1915, thanks to the German subsidiary of the time, always remained in the family on three generations, we have the honor to put it to auction.

Beautiful furniture in marquetry of the XVIIIth century will be part of this sale with in star this splendid and important Luxemburgish armoire in lot 160.

For sculpture lovers, interesting bronze models will be auctioned including a very beautiful and famous piece by Auguste Moreau "The Sower" and Clesinger "The Reclining Bacchae" and a rare art nouveau mirror in gilt patinated bronze, signed by Hermann Hausmann (1865-1902) and dated 1902.

Finally, we will end this sale with some jewelry and watches.
