Born in Paris, Sophia Rein has lived and worked in Luxembourg since 2006. Born into a family of painters and photographers, she focused her studies on the arts, reinforcing them with training in contemporary art history and professional photography. As a result, she developed her own distinctive "photo-painting" technique.  With this technique, she aims to accentuate the contrasts of her own monochrome photographs and the diversity of materials used to enhance them, such as acrylic, oil, watercolor, ink, aerosol... Sophia Rein's work is regularly exhibited at international art fairs, but she is also very present in the country: she has exhibited at the European Court of Auditors, the Cercle Munster, the headquarters of the Luxemburger Wort and Luxembourg airport's Business Aviation Centre. In 2014 and 2015, the Communes of Schuttrange and Bertrange commissioned collections of her work.  His work was awarded the Made in Luxembourg label in 2019.
