Lot 282 - In Boulle marquetry, decorated with foliate scrolls on a brown and red tortoiseshell background, bronze ringed dial with Roman numerals supporting two serrated hands. The front features two fluted Corinthian columns, a gilded applique decorated with acanthus leaf scrolls, and a central medallion engraved with the signature "Gaudron - Paris". The ensemble is topped by a cap with an openwork balustrade, surmounted by four ormolu fire pots. The lower part of the curved drapery is supported by four ormolu ball feet. Old movement, suspension changed. Circa end of XVIIth/beginning of XVIIIth century. In working order as published in the catalog. Restoration for use and maintenance.
