"Party" by Yvon Reinard Painter from Luxembourg Watercolor... - Lot 33 - Lux-Auction
"Party" by Yvon Reinard Painter from Luxembourg Watercolor drawing on paper mounted on canvas. Work belonging to his series "Sweeties", signed and dated 2016 in the lower right corner. Work framed under glass. Dimensions: H: 73; W: 91 cm In the center of the work "Party" is a character in the image of a conductor who tries to guide the other characters and animals, each of which participates with its own means or talents so that the "Party" (of life) is a real success. The work is an allegory of life, that's why I wanted to donate this painting to the MSF association which works in many fields to save and help lives, this is my small contribution to the success of the MSF association's actions. Yvon Reinard, born in 1956 in Luxembourg, grew up in an artistic environment since his parents, respectively decorators and master upholsterers, are the founders of the Rullem store (a famous institution located in front of the Grand-Ducal Palace). He has been passionate about drawing since he was very young and progressively developed an interest in depicting human beings in all their sensitivity and complexity. Following a training in interior architecture and design at U.C.A.D. Paris, he worked for a time in the Luxembourgish manufacture Villeroy and Boch but never put aside his career as an artist. In 1976, he began his series of Sweeties inspired by his travels but especially by his daily encounters. A keen observer, he strives to reproduce on paper (even with his eyes closed) the moments of life that he encounters on his outings. Yvon Reinard is today at a successful artistic path and offers to Luxembourg Art a new singular artistic signature.
