This Estate of a great Luxembourg collector, Mr. Y, will present a fine selection of high-end jewelry at the start of the auction, as well as previously unseen Luxembourg and international works of art, contemporary and modern post-war paintings, classic French furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries, and some great 20th-century designers.

Jewelry starts with Cartier, with a beautiful American wedding band ring and a lovely ladies' watch in 18K (750) pink gold set with 6 brilliant-cut diamonds. A pair of “Attrape moi si tu m'aimes” clip-on earrings from the famous Chaumet jewelry house, not forgetting a pair of “Fil de Camélia” clip-on earrings from Chanel.

Continuing with Luxembourg artists: Jeannot Bewing, Will Lofy, Patricia Lippert, André Haagen, Mars Schmit, Junius, Jeanette Bremin, a rare original oil on canvas by Robert Brandy, signed and dated “76”.

Let's continue with international artists with several lithographs by : Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselman, Yayoi Kusama, Roy Lichtenstein, an original painting by Icelandic artist Erró.

We'll end this vacation with a passion for antique furniture, an exceptional Louis XIV support piece Attributed to BEFORT JEUNE from the 19th century.

Mathieu Befort dit Befort Jeune (1813-1880), cabinetmaker, son of cabinetmaker Jean-Baptiste Befort (died 1840). Established at 1 and 6, rue Neuve-Saint-Gilles in Paris from 1844 to 1880. Like his elder brother Bernard, he specialized in Boulle marquetry and rosewood furniture with rich bronze decoration. His production was always characterized by high quality craftsmanship, and he became the official supplier to Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie (similar example pictured on pages 47-49 of the book "Le Mobilier français du XIXème siècle").
